A REAL
Free Market

What to Expect

A Real Free Market embodies love as community care as we get together, share our abundance and resources, and get better connected.

There will be tables and spaces for folks to offer up their abundance and to take what they want. No money changes hands, no trades are expected, nobody is ashamed about being in need.

Also, if you’re as excited about making this happen as we are and you have the capacity, we need volunteers to build this out as smoothly as possible with us. Give us a hand in borrowing tables, sorting, organizing, and cleaning up.

Items Guidelines

We believe in gifting with dignity:

  • All items brought to the REAL Free Market must be in good to new condition and cleaned, dusted or wiped down

  • All electronics should work as intended. Those needing to get rid of electronics can schedule to drop them off at the city’s Recycle and Reuse Center

  • No items should be expired

  • Toiletries should be at least half full and have not touched your skin/body

  • Personal hygiene items are wrapped or sealed

  • Due to space, all items should be able to fit in a large garbage bag. No large furniture please!

Ways to Particpate in the REAL Free Market

* Come to Dandelion House on March 1st between 1 and 4pm. Meet your neighbors!

* Bring what you no longer need or take what you need or both!

* Drop off items ahead of time so they may be sorted and organized before 1pm on March 1st.

* Sign up to give us a hand either in the days leading up to the market or on March 1st. We can use help sorting, organizing, and distributing items, ensuring flow, and donating what’s left over.
